- Abstract
- The layer shows habitat suitability (given in %) of commercial fish Whiting adults (Merlangius merlangus) in the North Sea for the decade 1970.
- Habitat suitability was estimated using a species distribution model (TIMoFiD) within the scope of the project CoastalFutures, founded by German Ministry of Education and Research (grant No: 03F0911F). The model used fish abundance and environmental data collected during the ICES-coordinated International Bottom Trawl Survey over 51 years. Temperature data used for model fitting were retrieved from AHOI.
